Smiles Change Lives

Twenty percent of all children in the United States are living with moderate to severe malocclusions. Many of these children come from working families living in poverty. Without assistance, these children have no hope of receiving the treatment they need to become healthy, productive members of society. Some of these children were born with cleft palates; or missing, broken and impacted teeth. Many of them have difficulty speaking and chewing, and others suffer with constant pain.
Smiles Change Lives promotes and provides access to life-changing, essential orthodontic treatment for children from low-income families. The program has treated more than 1,500 children since 1997. With its origin as the Virginia Brown Community Orthodontic Partnership, Smiles Change Lives has emerged as the nation’s leader in providing access to orthodontic care for qualified youth.
Dr. Dennehy is proud to be part of such an important program, helping to improve the lives of children in our community.
